No need to use more than a tiny bit. I poke two tiny holes in the foil lid: one vertical for pouring and one round air hole above it. I have tried several other store bought brands that were NG, but I like to order a case of 12 either from Amazon or ESSICK AIR. A case lasts for 4 to 5 years.I liked the ease of use and that it comes in easy to handle bottles. It is a good value and it lasts quite awhile. Makes sure the water is pure and clean!Very concentrated compared to previous brand I purchased. Definitely not a watered down version so please read the instructions. Consistently works well.Works good to keep nasty stuff out of water.Essick Air Bacteriostatic Treatment is easy to use and works great. There are a lot of reviews berating this product for the product warnings on the bottle but you have to keep in mind that this is a concentrate bacteriostatic and is therefore required to be handled carefully when using. I have never had any issues with this product and I have been using this for 4 years now. I will continue to use this product as long as it is on the market.Keeps my humidifier nice and clean. The instruction warnings are scary, but I use gloves and have not gotten it on my skin or in my eyes.product seems to be doing what it intended to do, reduce bacteria buildup and mineral deposits on my wicks.Well made product.
